Several people are in custody after Rogers County deputies said they found three inmates attempting to escape and two others attempting to smuggle contraband.

According to a report, during cell checks, Rogers County deputies noticed a portion of the ceiling had been ripped down.

Deputies said they found three inmates crawling in the space in an attempt to escape.

As they continued to investigate, they said they found several holes from outside to inside the jail were used for smuggling contraband into the jail.

For that, deputies arrested Tiffany Hill and Trenton Steward.

Jail records show Hill is being held on complaints of conspiracy, carrying a weapon/drugs/alcohol into the jail and unlawful use of a communication device.

She’s being held on a $20,000 bond.

Deputies have not released the names of the inmates, but said new complaints of attempted escape will be added.
