Police say one man is dead after a shootout with two Oklahoma City police officers.
Investigators are not releasing the suspect's name, but police say he opened fire on the officers when they were responding to a disturbance call near Southwest 94th and Western around 12:30 Sunday morning.
“As they got out of their patrol cars and were walking up to the scene they became engaged in an armed confrontation with the suspect. During this armed confrontation, the suspect was shot and killed,” said OKC MSGT. Gary Knight.
The officers were not injured in the shootout.
The Oklahoma City Police Department says both officers are on routine administrative leave.
