Deadly Shooting Under Investigation At Home In SW Oklahoma City

One person is in custody following a deadly shooting in southwest Oklahoma City, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Police say one person was shot and killed at a home near SW 44th Street and Quartz Ridge Drive.

Police say this started as a large group of people gathered inside a home.

Authorities say two people inside the house got into a fight before one shot the other.

Police say the suspect was arrested at the scene but their identity has not been released.

The name of the victim also has not been released at this time.

Police say there is no public threat.

"Just wanna let citizens in general know, especially neighbors of this neighborhood know there's no additional threat to anybody at this time. This was a very isolated incident," said Sgt. Rob Robertson with OCPD.

Police have not said how many people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but that several of them are witnesses and are being interviewed.
