Sticky Pepper Bacon/Sausage
- Thick cut bacon
- Breakfast sausage (cut into rounds)
- Syrup of your choice
- Fresh ground pepper
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Line a baking sheet with foil (for easy cleanup) and put a cooling rack on the sheet.
- Lay bacon or sausage onto the baking rack and sprinkle with as much freshly ground pepper as you like.
- Put the baking sheet in the oven to cook for 15-20 minutes.
- The last 5 minutes of cooking time brush with your favorite syrup and continue to bake till crisp.
- Remove from the oven and place the bacon on a paper towel lined plate.
- Serve! (To make the sausage, do the same.)
