Getting shot in the face and losing an eye isn't holding back one dog.

The Blanchard Police Department is still trying to find out who aimed at Petunia with a shot gun weeks ago.

The pit bull is blind, and her face shows the marks from the buckshot. But, her foster mom says she's almost ready to be adopted.

“She’s shown such positivity, where I think most humans would have just given up,” says Brittany Stephens, with Infinity Farms Sanctuary and Rescue in Norman.

Stephens says Petunia has been a fun playmate for her other dogs and has shown no signs of aggression.

Stephens says she will use the help of a dog behaviorist to help determine the best permanent home for the puppy.

“We are going to be vetting them very particularly for sure,” says Stephens.
