This Ain't No Hidden Valley Ranch Dip Mix

8 tsp. dried minced onion
1 T. dried parsley flakes
1 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper
1.5 tsp. garlic powder

Additional ingredients for dressing:

1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. buttermilk

Additional ingredients for dip:

1 c. sour cream

In a small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to one year. Mason jars are great for storage.

To prepare dressing: In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of mix with mayonnaise and buttermilk. Stir well and refrigerate for at least three hours before serving.

To prepare dip: In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of mix and sour cream. Stir well and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Kitchen nugget: Mason jars are my favorite way to store my dried herb mixes as well as any salad dressings in the refrigerator. To serve, just give your jar a shake, and your dressing will be perfectly mixed and ready to enjoy.
