1 Shot In Alleged Burglary At Guthrie Home

One person was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound after an alleged burglary Monday morning in Guthrie, officials said.

According to Logan County deputies, officers responded to a 911 call about a burglary around 5 a.m. near South Douglas Boulevard and East Simmons Road where they found one person with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Investigators said the victim was at the house where the burglary took place.

“The initial statements was that it was pretty chaotic because the main focus was the medical treatment he needed,” Logan County Undersheriff Troy Dykes said “We have deputies that will be interviewing this individual further.”

The shooting victim was taken to a hospital. Their condition is unknown.

When police arrived they were unable to locate the alleged burglar.
