Police are investigating after two people were hit by an EMSA ambulance early Wednesday in a southeast Oklahoma City.
According to officials, the incident took place near SE 29th Street and South Durland Avenue.
The ambulance reportedly hit the victims while they were on a bicycle.
Two different EMSA crews responded to the incident and took the victims to a local hospital on emergency status.
EMSA released the following statement:
"This morning, at 3:55 AM, an EMSA ambulance was involved in a collision with two bicyclists near SE 29th Street and S Durand Avenue. Two EMSA crews responded to the incident and transported two patients emergency status to a local hospital. The EMSA crew involved was not injured. EMSA is cooperating with police as they investigate the incident."
