1 Dead After Payne Co. Crash

One person died after a crash on State Highway 51, east of Stillwater, troopers said.

One person died after a crash on State Highway 51, east of Stillwater, troopers said.

Shelby N. Chatham, 48, of Yale, died at the scene of the crash shortly after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A head-on collision happened in the westbound lane of State Highway 51, troopers said.

Two people were taken to a Tulsa hospital. One was in critical condition.

Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt.
