The medical marijuana industry in Oklahoma could mean big money. Due to federal banking laws, that money is almost exclusively going to cash.
Chris Collier is a security contractor with a solution for growers and dispensaries dealing with large amounts of cash. He will operate Green Line Security out of an old bank building on North May Avenue and 112th Street.
“They are going to be ex-military, law enforcement,” said Collier about many of the 100 people he hopes to hire.
Green Line Security will provide transport of cash and medical marijuana with armed guards. Surveillance, security, and banking is also being offered for those in the medical marijuana industry.
“We are going to be operating a traditional bank branch with real vaults, so people feel comfortable about their money being protected,” said Collier.
Collier said Green Line will provide a “turn key solution” for growers and dispensaries.
Meanwhile, Collier's been contacting potential clients.
“The response has been tremendous,” said Collier.
