An Arkansas man who plunged into the water to save that man, was nearly shocked to death himself. He remains in critical condition at OU Medical Center.

Brandon Gann just got married this past Saturday in Clarksville, Arkansas.
Shawn Ellis says he was a groomsman in Gann’s wedding. He says he’s not surprised at all that his buddy tried to save the man who had fallen into the canal.
Fire officials say the first victim had fallen off of one of the domed light stands that line the Bricktown Canal.
The man was electrocuted when he grabbed exposed wires from the broken light while trying to pull himself out of the water. That’s when Gann jumped in to try to save him.
“Man it brought me to tears,” said Shawn Ellis. “This is very heartbreaking for all family and friends. Everybody who knew him, cause like I said he is genuinely one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.”
