A Del City woman is staying with friends this weekend, because dozens of volunteers are re-doing her house!

Anna Ring and her husband, United States’ Marine Paul moved into their home not far from Del City High School way back in 1975, after Paul returned from serving in Vietnam.

Mr. Ring died in 1995, after a 20-year career at Tinker Air Force Base.

All three of the Ring’s sons served in the military. However, DeWayne Ring, the oldest, is the only one still alive.

The Ring’s youngest son Jeremy died five years ago, after his liver gave out in the V.A. Hospital.

Mark Ring, the middle son, served in the Marine Corps, and as an Army Green Beret. He suffered a traumatic brain injury during his service.  Mark accidentally drowned four months ago in a small lake South of Tulsa.

Dozens of Volunteers with Honoring America’s Warriors, Team Rubicon Region 6, and the Home Depot Foundation are completely renovating Anna Ring’s home for free this weekend. It will be ready for her by Sunday evening.

“When they told me I was just overwhelmed,” she said Thursday night. . “I’m just very honored for them to do this for me.”

DeWayne Ring’s son Trace Ring is a Senior at the U.S. Naval Academy.  Mark Ring’s son Blair is stationed at Fort Sill.
