A historic change to Oklahoma’s liquor laws that goes into effect Monday has already attracted a team of famous visitors.

The Budweiser Clydesdales will deliver a case of six-point Budweiser to the State Capitol at 9 a.m. Monday.

New beer and wine laws will allow cold high-point beer to be sold in supermarkets, convenience stores, and liquor stores.

Wednesday afternoon, a 2300 member of the Clydesdales greeted folks outside Grand Cru Wine and Spirits on North May Avenue.

“We’ve been selling full strength for a while, but now we get to finally start selling the Budweiser, the Miller’s, and the Coors,” said store manager Michael Berry.

The famous Clydesdale horses will be making several appearances in the area over the next few weeks.

A local Anheuser Busch Sales leader tells News 9 the legendary horses haven’t made an appearance in the Oklahoma City area for about 15 years.
