More Charges Filed Against Teen Accused Of Killing Oklahoma Teacher, Raping Elderly Woman

The teenager charged with raping an elderly woman and murdering a Broken Arrow teacher now faces a charge of assaulting a detention officer.

Records show Deonte Green is accused of punching an officer in the face.

The report says Green was out of his cell to attend a class and was allowed to go to the restroom.  It says when he came back, he was carrying a laundry bag and detergent.

The report says the officer told Green more than once to put down the bag and go to class.  The deputy put his hand on Green’s back to escort him when Green punched the officer in the face, the report says.

According to the report, Green kept hitting the detention officer until some nearby maintenance workers and other officers helped get Green under control.

It says Green told the officer before the fight, “I will [expletive] up on set, if you put your hands on me.”

Officers say Green told investigators after the fight that he was offended by the way the detention officer talked to him and he wasn’t going to let anyone tell him what to do.  They say he admitted punching the officer, saying he got mad when the officer grabbed him.

Records show Green has an extensive juvenile record, starting when he was 11 years old, with some of the cases involving breaking into homes and stealing guns.

Police say Green went on a two-day crime spree last fall that involved several robberies, including breaking into the home of an elderly couple, stealing a gun from them, forcing them to drive to an ATM to rob them, then sexually assaulting the 81-year-old woman after they returned to the home.  They say he then went into the home of Broken Arrow school teacher Shane Anderson to rob the family and shot and killed Anderson in front of Anderson’s family.

A jury recently found Green competent to stand trial after defense attorneys presented reports saying Green has a low IQ and psychological issues.
