Oklahoma City Police need the public’s help identifying a suspect responsible for three armed robberies in one night.
Officers responded to a robbery at the Family Dollar store near Northwest 39th and Pennsylvania Avenue on Sunday, September 9. Two store employees on duty reported the triple armed robbery.
The frightening moments were caught on the store’s security cameras.
As the suspect was walking into the store, he forced a customer who was outside back, in the store. In the video, you can see he is holding a gun in his right hand.
Employees told police he pointed the gun at them and motioned for them to take the money out of the cash register.
“As he was leaving,” said Officer Megan Morgan, Oklahoma City Police Department. “He also robbed a third victim as was walking out of the store.”
The suspect took the man’s wallet and the first victim’s groceries. He also got away with cash and a phone.
Police said despite the dangerous weapon, no one was hurt.
The suspect’s face cannot be seen in the video, but the victims told officers if they were to see him again they would recognize him. Police also swabbed the cash register in case he left behind fingerprints.
As officers canvassed the area after the robbery, they learned employees of nearby businesses have witnessed the suspect selling computers and wearing a dark-colored backpack.
Investigators need to get him identified before he strikes again.
“We definitely want to get this dangerous person off the streets,” said Morgan.
If you recognize him or have information concerning these crimes, call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300 with tips.
