1 Arrested, 2 Outstanding Near Tecumseh After Chase Ends In Crash

The Pottawatomie County sheriff says one person is in custody and two others are wanted following a chase and crash near Tecumseh Tuesday afternoon.  

According to deputies, a pursuit ended after a suspect crashed into at pond at Old Highway 18 west of Highway 177, just eight miles south of Tecumseh. A dive team was called to the scene to search for the suspects in the water. 

One suspect, identified as 32-year-old Travis Maxwell Pate, was located prior to the crash and was arrested, according to the sheriff's office.

Now, the sheriff's office says they believe two of the suspects are on-the-run after searching the vehicle pulled from the pond. 

At this time, it’s unclear how the pursuit started.
