Fatality Crash Reported On I-240 In SE OKC

A fatality crash was reported Wednesday morning on Interstate 240 in southeast Oklahoma City.

The crash happened about 10:35 a.m. on eastbound I-240 near Eastern Avenue. 

A pickup was in the inside lane when it swerved for an unknown reason, drove off the roadway and over-corrected, troopers said.

The vehicle flipped once on the right side of the roadway and the passenger was ejected from the vehicle. 

The passenger of the pickup, John Allan Ferrell, 51, Midwest City, died at the scene. 

The driver of the pickup was taken to OU Medical Center.
