2 Arrested For Murder In The Death of OKC Woman, Unborn Baby

Two people have been arrested for the first-degree murder of woman found dead in the back of a truck in McClain County.

According to the McClain County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old Joshua Finkbeiner and 42-year-old Staci Harjo are currently in custody in Arkansas for the first-degree murder of 23-year-old Shaliyah Toombs and her unborn child.

Toombs’ body was found in the back of a pickup truck Wednesday, May 2 at a gas station near Interstate 35 in McClain County.  Toombs was approximately seven months pregnant.

The driver of the pickup, identified as Daniel Vasquez, admitted to police he had the body in the back of the pickup. Vasquez was booked into jail on an accessory after the fact charge.

Finkbeiner and Harjo were two of three people wanted for questioning in the case. Both were believed to be in Arkansas and the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office was notified.

After being interviewed by OSBI agents, Finkbeiner and Harjo were arrested on two counts of first degree murder. Both are awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.

The McClain County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing.
