1 Injured In Woodward Shooting

Police are investigating a shooting Thursday night in Woodward.

Officers were called shortly after 8:50 p.m. in reference to a man being shot. When police arrived near 12th and Walnut, they found a victim with an apparent gunshot wound to his lower abdomen. 

The man was taken to a local hospital before he was taken to OU Medical Center via medical helicopter.

Police said an altercation took place between two people before the shooting.

Investigators said they have an idea of who the shooter is but the whereabouts of the shooter is not known at this time. The shooting suspect is wanted for questioning.
