Former State Sen. Ralph Shortey Enters Guilty Plea In Court

Former state Sen. Ralph Shortey pleads guilty to child sex trafficking charges in court Thursday.

As part of the plea deal, prosecutors agreed to drop three child porn charges.

Last March, law enforcement reported they found Shortey in a hotel room with a teenage boy.

He later resigned from his position as senator in response to the criminal investigation.

Federal child sex trafficking charges carry at least a 10-year prison sentence.
