The weekend is upon us, and the weather could not be any more pleasant, especially for those who are out in the midst of Black Friday shopping. This time is also especially magical, as the holiday displays and seasonal events ramp up.
One of the most anticipated events of the season in Oklahoma City is the Bricktown Tree Lighting Festival. Mayor Mick Cornett and Santa Claus will be on hand to light the tree, and signal the unofficial start to the holiday season. This is the 16th year for the event.
The Bricktown Water Taxis are offering free rides, at select times, until the end of the year. There is still time to visit the Red Earth Museum’s Treefest.
If you’re interested in having a walk under the Christmas lights, the Bricktown Holiday Parklet and the Film Row Lights Display are both good places to start. Each are a part of the bevy of events that make up Oklahoma City’s Downtown in December!
