A 22-year-old Yukon High School teacher was arrested and is accused of having a sexual relationship with one of her students.
Investigators with the Canadian County Sheriff's Office said the reported victim's cell phone was the key to making the arrest.
On it were several explicit messages and pictures shared between both parties.
The suspect in this case is Hunter Day, a married and emergency certified teacher at Yukon High School.
The 17-year-old victim's parents were the ones who turned the phone over to the Canadian County Sheriff's Office for investigation after they discovered some of the racy images their son shared with his teacher.
Investigators said they found evidence of past sexual encounters and plans for others as recent as this past Wednesday.
Day and the teenager had plans to meet at her home. Investigators made their arrest there.
"I'm heartbroken -- sorry, it's very emotional, because her kids are our kids, they're our kids and our staff is our family and we do everything we can to protect both. That's number one. It's a huge disappointment and hurtful to everyone in the district," Yukon Public Schools Superintendent Jason Simeroth said.
Day was booked into jail on a $85,000 bond.
