Countdown Breakdown On Health Care, State Budget Challenges

News 9 political commentator Scott Mitchell dropped by the studio to discuss the current condition of health care reform in Washington and the challenges facing the recently passed state budget.

This year in Oklahoma, Blue Cross and Blue Shield is the only provider in the health care exchange, compared four providers in 2014. Some other areas of concern during reform have been cuts to Medicaid and the coverage of pre-existing conditions.

The Senate will be back in session July 10 and senators hope to vote on the latest healthcare bill before August recess, which starts on July 31st.
