Jones quarterback Brandon George was named the Gatorade Oklahoma Football Player of the Year.

This season, the senior threw for 4,035 yards, rushed for 1,305 yards, and accounted for 65 of the Longhorns touchdowns. He threw only five interceptions.

George will select a national or local sports organization to receive a $1,000 grant. He can also enter for an additional $10,000 grant to donate by writing a short essay about their selected organization.

George is also a finalist for National Player of the Year, which will be chosen later this month.
