Workers at a local Oklahoma City company brought some holiday cheer to a teenager who lost his wallet this week.
That teenager lost his wallet when he went to get some food after delivering presents to some local preschoolers.
Then, he got a phone call that it had been found, but he never expected what happened next.
"It's bulging and I can't close the wallet," said 18-year-old Paul Kinkade.
Kinkade found some extra holiday cash stuffed inside inside his wallet, about $150 worth.
The wallet was found along a busy stretch of May Avenue by some workers from Pace Butler who had come for lunch.
"And the wallet was just right there, sitting on the sidewalk," said Brad Armstrong, who was one of the workers who found the wallet. "I've lost my wallet many times and just the nightmare of getting new identification, social security card, bank card. Once you realize that wallet's gone, it's a very hopeless feeling."
When Armstrong and the other workers at Pace Butler found out Kinkade had been playing Santa with area kids the day he lost his wallet, they knew they wanted to do something extra special to bring him some holiday cheer.
So Armstrong collected money from everyone in the office, put it in the wallet, and then contacted Kinkade and his mom to come pick it up.
One of the workers recorded what happened next on his phone and then posted it on Facebook.
"It was met with excitement and enthusiasm and coworkers were coming up and I think we put $40 in $2 bills," said Armstrong.
Little did they know this kind gesture would go viral, with hundreds of people sharing the video.
In fact, it has already been liked more than 16,000 times.
Kinkade's mom said this gesture couldn't have happened to a more grateful kid.
"He's always giving and to have that co me back to him in such a thoughtful and caring way was so awesome," said Kathleen Kinkade, Paul's mom. "It's nice to see it come back to someone who is that way himself!"
Paul Kinkade has even been offered a job at Pace Butler once he finishes school.
