Murder charges have been filed against two suspects for a deadly home invasion that took place at a southwest OKC home.
It happened on Nov. 19 at a home in the 1300 block of SW 21st St. Investigators found two men dead inside the home. The victims were identified as 38-year-old Marcus Green and 47-year-old Michael Leonhardt.
Neighbors described hearing multiple gunshots that night. Witnesses told police two suspects left the scene in a white sedan.
One of the suspects, 31-year-old Christopher Norfleet, was arrested on Nov. 22. Court documents released on Wednesday day show a second man, Vincent Edward Byrd, is also being charged with first degree murder.
An arrest warrant for Byrd was issued Wednesday afternoon, but he is not in custody.
OKC Police believe the victims died during an attempted robbery connected to drug activity.
Court records show Marcus Green and Michael Leonhardt were found inside the home shot to death - one was wearing dark clothing, a face mask, and gloves.
The suspects allegedly broke in the back door. At some point, gunfire was exchanged.
Norfleet, who was also shot, ran to the car and allegedly directed Byrd to drive away.
Investigators say Byrd tried to absolve himself of the crimes by telling investigators Norfleet ordered him to drive after the shooting.
Norfleet is currently being held in the Oklahoma County Jail, without bond, on two first-degree murder complaints and one count of possession of a firearm after a prior felony conviction. Byrd is facing similar charges.
