Man Arrested In Connection To Device That Exploded At OKC Gas Station

Oklahoma City police have arrested a man in connection to a small device that exploded near or in a dumpster at a gas station.

According to police, on Friday, November 18, 52-year-old Vincent Wayne Bishop was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on complaints of manufacturing/delivering/possessing toxic substances with the intent to engage in terror and manufacturing or possessing an explosive device.

A bond has not been set.

On Thursday, November 17, police responded to the scene where a small object exploded near or in a dumpster at the Shell gas station, located near N.W. 16th Street and N. Portland Avenue. The dumpster then caught fire.

No one was injured during the incident.
