Oklahoma City Police arrested a man accused of creeping around an apartment complex and spying on people. The suspect is a funeral director and embalmer.
News 9’s Adrianna Iwasinski got a copy of both the police report and court record from last Friday's arrest, and it states that police found a gun under the man’s driver's seat and they also found a video camera.
According to the police report, it was around 2 a.m. last Friday, when police were called to the Fountain Lake Apartments near Eastern and Memorial. This, after someone said they noticed a man trying to hide outside and peep in a window of one of the units.
When police arrived, they found 32-year-old Kentrell Brown in a breezeway. Police said his shoes were muddy and the pattern on the soles matched skid marks and prints outside the window.
The police report also states they found lotion in Brown’s pocket.
"That's super creepy," said Amanda Glenn, who lives at the complex. "There are children who live here, so that's very concerning. But I'm glad they caught him."
Glenn said she had not heard about the arrest, and neither did the Fountain Lake workers News 9 talked to.
Brown is listed as both a funeral director and embalmer at two metro funeral homes and has done a lot of volunteer work with churches and universities.
According to the police report, when officers arrested Brown he admitted to working for a funeral home and blurted out, "Man I've never been in trouble, can you cut me a break?"
But the report states the people who Brown is accused of secretly watching are just glad police caught him, and have no clue why he had been spying on them.
Investigators have taken possession of Brown’s video camera and will be examining the contents.
Brown is currently out on a $2,500 bond. He did not return News 9's call and was not at his home in NW OKC for a comment on the allegations. Brown is yet to be formally charge.
