It’s that time of the year again! Even though it’s still quite warm outside, many activities across the state, from pumpkin patches, haunted houses, to costume parties, will get you into the fall and Halloween spirit.

We have compiled a list of some of the most popular destinations around the state.

Fall Foliage

What better way to admire the changing of the seasons than taking a fall foliage tour?  In Oklahoma, there are many routes you can take. TravelOK suggests the following:

Pumpkin Patches

Pumpkin pies, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin-scented candles, and who can forget carving a Jack-O-Lantern? No fall is complete without a pumpkin. You can pick out the perfect one at one of Oklahoma’s family-friendly pumpkin patches.

Many farms offer more than just picking up a pumpkin. They also have their own corn mazes.

For those with children, besides going trick-or-treating in your neighborhood, there are many attractions you and your family will all enjoy around the state.

FrightFest at Frontier City in Oklahoma City. Oct. 1 - Oct. 30.

Pumpkinville at Myriad Gardens in Oklahoma City. Oct. 7 - Oct. 23.

Boo On Bell in Shawnee. Central Oklahoma’s Largest Family Halloween Festival returns for its 18th year this October.  The festival began on Thursday evening, October 20 and continue through Saturday, October 24.

Downtown Edmond Old Fashioned Fall Festival. 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at Festival Marketplace, 30 West 1st Street, Edmond.

Magic Lantern Celebration on Paseo. 3 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 30 at Paseo Arts District NW 30th and Dewey.

Haunt The OKC Zoo For Halloween. Oct. 26 – Oct. 31.

Halloween Festivals, Events, And Costume Parties

There are plenty of events around the state that will get you in the Halloween spirit. If you are looking for a place where you can show off your awesome Halloween costume and maybe earn a prize, here is a list of hot spots around the state.

The Monsters Ball at Club One15 in Bricktown. Friday, Oct. 28. Club One15 will host a costume contest with a $3,000 prize.

The Horror Story at Club One15 in Bricktown. Saturday, Oct. 29. Featuring another round of costume contest with $2,000 prize.

Suicide Squad Halloween Party at Dollhouse in Bricktown. Oct. 28 & Oct. 29. Featuring a Haunted House dance party, Halloween inspired shows by The Dolls, celebrity guest appearances with costume contests with cash prizes.

Boos and Booze at Cosmopolitan OKC in Bricktown. Oct. 29.
