The Big 12 Preseason Basketball Poll was released on Thursday with Kansas picked as the preseason favorite for the fifth consecutive year, and the Jayhawks were the unanimous selection for the 15th time in program history.

One season after reaching the Final Four, the Oklahoma Sooners are ranked No. 6 on the preseason list while Oklahoma State came in at No. 7.
The Sooners will be led by returning starters Jordan Woodard and Khadeem Lattin, while sophomore Christian James is expected to take on a much bigger role on the offense. As for the Cowboys, the Pokes will have guards Phil Forte and Juwan Evans returning while new head coach Brad Underwood brings some excitement to the program after leading Stephen F. Austin to a win in the NCAA Tournament this past season.
