OU Fan Attacked After Stopping Assault Before Game

Trent Kreslins is finishing his last year at the University of Oklahoma. He and his friends went to Dallas for the OU-Texas game on Saturday. That was also his 23rd birthday, but the weekend took an unexpected turn.

Trent noticed a man and woman arguing, then he says he saw him strike her in the face.

“I just didn’t want to be one of the other people that just walked by and didn’t say anything. So I turned around and went back to him and said that’s not cool to hit women,” Kreslins told News 9.

The situation escalated. Trent said the guy took a swing at him and it became a big brawl.

“I went to the ground,” said Trent. His friend told him multiple people beat him.

Trent is suffering from a mild concussion, broken nose, stitches, and a sore arm.

“I’m so grateful that’s all,” he said.

It surprises him because Trent was born with an extremely rare bone disease called McCune Albright Syndrome. His bones are so fragile that they can break at any time. He’s even broken his femur just walking down the stair before.

Bruised or broken, Trent was willing to take the risk and stand up for a stranger. His courage didn’t go unnoticed. Witnesses have been messaging Trent on Facebook.

One message read, “I wanted to reach out to you to say thank you for what you did that night in defense of the girl that was hit.”

He said it was scary, but he would do it again if it means helping someone out. He hasn’t seen or talked to the woman who he was trying to protect.

“I would just like to know if she is OK,” said Trent.
