Beat Texas Tailgate Sandwiches
- 1 package thin sliced ribeye steak (found in the freezer section)
- 1 package King Hawaiian dinner rolls
- 12 sliced provolone cheese
- 1 green pepper, sliced thin
- 1 onion, cut into thin slices
- 1 red/yellow pepper, cut into strips
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms, roughly chopped
- 1 tablespoon seasoning salt
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper
- Olive oil
- In a large saute pan heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil at medium heat and cook the peppers, onion and mushrooms till they are golden brown.
- While the veggies are cooking, cut the ribeye into thin strips and saute in a separate pan with seasoning salt till lightly browned.
- Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise and place the bottom 1/2 of the rolls in a 9x13 pan.
- Using tongs, place equal amounts of meat on the rolls and continue with the sauteed onions and peppers.
- Put a slice of provolone cheese over the each of the veggies and top with the other half of the roll. Melt the butter with the garlic powder in the microwave.
- Pour the melted butter over the sandwiches and then sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. or until melted and toasted.
