Oklahoma State freshman running back Justice Hill has been named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week for the second-straight week, the conference announced on Monday.
The former Booker T. Washington Hornet rushed for 135 yards on 25 carries with a touchdown to help lead the Cowboys to a 49-31 victory over No. 22 Texas.
His 135 yards rushing were the most for an Oklahoma State true freshman against Texas and were the ninth-most for a true freshman Cowboy in any game. They were also the most for any Big 12 newcomer this season.
Hill averages 128.5 rushing yards per game against Big 12 opposition, which ranks second in the league. His 5.7 yards per carry in conference play leads all Big 12 running backs with at least 30 rushing attempts.
Baylor running back Shock Linwood was Offensive Player of the Week, Kansas State linebacker Elijah Lee was Defensive Player of the Week and Oklahoma kicker/punter Austin Seibert was Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 5.
