The President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM,) Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, spoke at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland on Monday.

Mayor Cornett spoke just before 2 p.m., highlighting the work of Republican mayors across the country.

In addition to addressing the delegates, Mayor Cornett will attend a variety of events to discuss USCM’s Compact for a Better America: A Call to Action, which calls on the Presidential candidates to recognize the critical role cities play in shaping America’s future and to focus on policy issues that are important to people living in cities and their metropolitan areas.

While in Cleveland, Mayor Cornett will join prominent artists and top elected officials for the national non-partisan policy forum ARTS SPEAK at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  The forum will focus on the transformative power of the arts to impact 21st century learning and the economy, as well as healing and wellness, especially for wounded military veterans and their families.
