Inmate Found Dead Inside Garfield County Jail Cell

Authorities are investigating after an inmate was found dead inside his cell at the Garfield County Jail on Wednesday.

Garfield County Jail staff said they were conducting cell checks when they found 58-year-old Anthony Huff unresponsive in his cell. Emergency crews arrived and pronounced Huff dead at 6:13 p.m.

Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Medical Examiner’s Office were called to investigate and determine a cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
