My 2 Cents: CBS This Morning Features Riversport Rapids

I said, while it was under construction, that I thought the new rapids course on the river was the most exciting MAPS project yet, because it is so unique, we'd have something nobody else has in the middle of a downtown area.

Well, I don't know if you saw it or not but apparently CBS This Morning agrees. They just did a long and glowing piece on Oklahoma City's new Riversport Rapids.

In the introduction to the five minute feature, they called it an interesting new summer road trip destination that's easy to get to.  And it only got better from there.

"In Oklahoma City, it's not just the skyline that's rapidly changing. Now, you can catch a fast adrenaline pumping ride. High octave, white water rapids, under Oklahoma's bright blue sky," CBS News reported.

The CBS piece talked about the unique vision Oklahoma City had in revitalizing the downtown and the river.  

The reporter, Meg Oliver took a ride herself and said it felt just like the real deal, like when she white water rafted in Montana. 

And at the end the payoff, anchor Anthony Mason said, "I gotta tell you, I spent a lot of time in that city back in the early 80's, and that is just transformational. It so reshapes what your perception is of that city. It's just amazing!"

Ding, ding, ding!
