One person was shot dead and whoever is responsible is still on the run Sunday night. It happened near SE 48 and Sooner Road.
Police do not know who shot and killed a man Sunday afternoon at a southeast Oklahoma City apartment complex, but they hope someone saw something and can help them track down whoever did it.
Just after 1 p.m., police say a man was shot and killed at the Chapel Ridge Apartments just off SE 48, and it's an area some say is starting to see more violence like this.

“I don’t understand that when we’re next to Tinker Air Force Base just as well as this complex has 24 hour security and the fact that it’s happening around kids is bothersome by itself,” a man who lives nearby said.
He did not want to be identified, but he was still bothered by all this, nonetheless, especially when it comes to children he believed saw what happened.
“The kids were playing, and from my understanding some of the kids witnessed it,” he said.
No arrests have been made, and police do not have a suspect description, but some say a couple of teenagers were seen running away just after the shooting happened.
“I just saw two black guys running. They appeared to be teenagers in the direction of the south,” he said. “I didn’t even know anything was going on really. So, I didn’t pay any attention to the kids that were running.”
Despite not having a suspect description, police are looking for a black Nissan Maxima.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the homicide tip line at 297-1200.
