Oklahoma City police confirmed the discovery of human remains at an Oklahoma City landfill.
They said it will ultimately be up to the Oklahoma medical examiner’s office to determine the cause and manner of death, and hopefully the examiner will be able to identify the body.
Right now, police aren't saying if the human remains found were that of a male or female, only that they got a tip about that missing teenager that led them to the landfill.

Investigators spent a good part of Monday and Tuesday morning searching and sorting through all this trash, looking for evidence that might help identify the remains found.
The remains were found just after 9 a.m. Tuesday at a waste disposal facility located near NE 23 Street and Midwest Blvd.
At this time, police are treating this as a suspicious death and no arrests have been made.
They are looking into whether the human remains found here are connected to a 15-year-old girl who disappeared in May 2014.
Right now, police are not releasing any names, but according to the police report, DHS contacted officers last Tuesday asking for an agency assist.
The report stated they went to a home near NW 91 and Hudson Avenue after receiving information that a missing teenager who was supposed to be in Florida but was not.
The DHS case agent checked with the teenager's friends and the school system about when they last remember seeing her.
All of them said it was around May 2014 and that "it was like she just disappeared; one day she was here and then she was gone."
