Increased budget cuts to state agencies are on the way after collections to the state’s General Revenue Fund fell far below estimates in January.
According to the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES), revenue reductions already set at three percent will have to be deepened beginning in March. The January General Revenue Fund report will be released on Tuesday.
The precise amount of the deepened budget cuts should be known by Feb. 16 at the Board of Equalization meeting.
