A check fraud scam News 9 first told you about last Thursday is more widespread than initially thought.
A woman, who identified herself as Jacque Hensley, has written bogus checks for thousands of dollars to buy items at hardware stores in Norman, Newcastle and Chickasha in the past six weeks.
Tim Roberts of P & K Equipment in Norman said the woman wrote a $2,179 bogus check to buy a generator back in mid-December.
