OKC Energy FC has released its 2016 schedule with the club opening the USL season at home against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on March 26th.
Energy FC beat Switchbacks FC in spectacular fashion in the first round of last year’s USL playoffs. After being tied in regulation both teams scored in extra time and with a semifinals berth on the line the match came down to a penalty shootout. Energy FC goalkeeper Evan Newton made two saves in the shootout to clinch the victory.

Three of OKC’s first four matches in 2016 are in Taft Stadium, where the club went 10-3 last year with one draw. Overall the team finished at 13W-7D-8L.
Energy FC faces rival Tulsa Roughnecks FC four times: first meeting in Tulsa on June 4th, then in Oklahoma City July 23rd, back to Tulsa August 20th and finally in OKC August 27th.
