OKC Police Officer Injured In Crash

An Oklahoma City Police officer had to be transported to the hospital after a crash, Wednesday night.

The officer and another vehicle collided near W. Britton Rd. and N. Penn. Ave. while the officer was responding to a 'shots fired' call, just after 11 p.m.

The condition of the driver of the civilian vehicle was not immediately known. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The officer was taken from the scene to a local hospital via ambulance. His injuries were not life-threatening.
