Oklahoma women’s basketball announced it will play a four-year, home-and-home series with three-time defending national champion Connecticut starting in 2017.
OU and UConn have met 10 times in series history, including in the 2002 national championship game in San Antonio, Texas. The teams last met on Feb. 13, 2012 in Norman. The Huskies lead the all-time series, 10-0.
The four-year slate will begin Dec. 19, 2017 as the Sooners travel to face UConn at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs or at XL Center in Hartford. OU will also travel to the Huskies in the 2019-20 season. The Sooners will host UConn during the 2018-19 and 2020-21 seasons at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman or at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.
