Authorities arrested three people, including the victim’s husband, in the shooting death of a woman in Atoka County, Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
The OSBI reported that on Thursday, December 17, 47-year-old Kathern Yovonne Moore was found shot to death inside her home in the 300 block of S. Bobwhite Lane in Atoka. The Atoka County Sheriff’s office requested OSBI investigative and crime scene assistance with the homicide case.
Over the weekend, authorities arrested three suspects in the case, 28-year-old Cody Maxey, his brother, 25-year-old Christopher Maxey, and the victim’s husband, 44-year-old James Clifton Moore.
Moore was arrested after a traffic stop by an Atoka County deputy and OHP trooper. He was booked into the Atoka County jail for first-degree murder.
OSBI agents arrested Cody Maxey at the Atoka County Sheriff’s Office for accessory to murder. He was booked into the Coal County jail.
Christopher Maxey was arrested in Farris by Atoka County deputies and U.S. Marshals for accessory to murder. He is housed at the Bryan County jail.
