American Red Cross Opens Warming Stations, Shelter

The American Red Cross opened warming stations for residents without power across the metro area. 

A shelter in El Reno remained open overnight and is still open Monday. The shelter, at Jenks Simmons Field House at 211 North Country Club Road, provided dinners to about 30 people and the American Red Cross was expecting families to spend the night Sunday.

The shelter had seven people spend the night on Saturday.

A warming station opened in Guthrie at the First Christian Church, 402 E Noble Ave. The warming station's hours were 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday.

The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribe also opened a shelter in Concho. 

The warming stations in Enid, Yukon and Oklahoma City closed Sunday night. Zero people visited the Enid station. Twelve people visited the Yukon station and three people visited the Oklahoma City station.
