Bethany HS Holds BBQ Fundraiser For Injured Football Player

The Bethany High School football player who suffered a spinal cord injury during a game is getting more support.

The Bethany High School football player who suffered a spinal cord injury during a game is getting more support.

Hudson Haws remains in critical condition.

Sunday, the community came out to support the high school senior.

Swadley's BBQ served food in the Bethany High School gym with a goal of serving 3,000 to 5,000 people.

"It gives us an opportunity to give back to the community and everybody else is. There is hundreds of volunteers. People are giving thousands of dollars and it's something we are just a small part of," Swadley's BBQ owner Brent Swadley said.

Swadley's donated 2,100 pounds of meat with all the proceeds going to Hudson and his recovery.
