The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced on Tuesday the 20 candidates for the 2016 Jerry West Award, the annual honor given to the top shooting guard in college basketball.
The award, introduced last year, was given to Ohio State's D'Angelo Russell in 2015.
Other notables joining Hield on the list are Wichita State's Ron Baker, Duke's Grayson Allen and Virginia's Malcom Brogdon. The winner will be chosen on April 8.
