Oklahoma City police are reminding drivers about a new lane change ordinance. Starting Friday, drivers must have their turn signal on for at least 100 feet before changing lanes or turning. That means if you're driving 45 miles per hour, you'd need to signal for at least one and a half seconds before switching lanes and one second at 65 mph.
A similar state law is already in effect. And just to give us some perspective, Oklahoma City Police Chief Bill Citty said his officers see a number of lane change violations by drivers.
