In case you missed it, Bricktown just added another attraction.
It’s called Brickopolis, and it opened about a week ago.
The 3-level mammoth structure runs parallel to the Bricktown Canal, next to Mickey Mantle’s Steak House across from Mickey Mantle Drive from Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
On the basement level of this behemoth 24,000-square-foot structure, a large pizza, salad, and hot bar is available everyday for guests and larger parties.
The first floor boasts a restaurant, sports and burger bar.
The top floor is all about the kids. It plays host to an arcade and large laser tag arena, and sprinkle in about three dozen TV screens along the way.
Brickopolis’ owner Chris Johnson says he came up with the unique name several months ago.
“Yeah bit off a big chunk here, but we’re ready and it’s open. It’s beautiful right here on the canal, some of the best scenes right here on the canal.”
Brickopolis also is home to an 18-hole mini golf course.
On a related note, Wednesday afternoon Urban Johnnie owner Rick Haines told me he plans to open West restaurant’s new location Oct. 1.
It will be in the same location where Nonna’s once stood in Bricktown, one block north of Brickopolis on Mickey Mantle Drive.
