Oklahoma State cornerback Kevin Peterson, a preseason pick for All-Big 12, has undergone arthroscopic knee surgery and is expected to miss a few weeks of action, that according to OSU coach Mike Gundy.

“Kevin Peterson got a small knee (injury),” Gundy said following the morning practice session at the Sherman E. Smith Training Center. “They took him in and did a scope on him. (Team doctors) weren’t sure if they needed to or not, but they decided to go ahead and do it.”

Recovery from the surgery is not expected to linger into the regular season; however, OSU will be cautious nonetheless.

“We’ll bring him back at kind of a slow pace,” Gundy said.

The Wagoner, OK native has amassed 103 tackles and eight interceptions in his three years as a Cowboy.
